Dirac Has Never Been Simply A Garment
It is a reflection of Somali womanhood .
For generations, Somali women have celebrated life’s most treasured moments draped in flowing fabrics that move with elegance and presence.
The silhouette of our Dirac honours that history while elevating it for the today’s bride.
“We do not simply wear our history; we inhabit its soul. Our hido iyo dhaqan is not a relic to be preserved, but the pulse that guides our future bridal visions.”
The fullness of the gorgorad was a deliberate choice. We wanted to capture the grandeur and femininity that have always defined Somali bridal Dirac. As a bride walks, the fabric follows her with a sense of movement and majesty, creating a silhouette that feels both regal and unmistakably Somali. It is a celebration of abundance and beauty, qualities deeply woven into our culture.

“Designed to be remembered.”
At the heart of every collection is the Somali spirit: a legacy of craftsmanship, storytelling, and creating beauty with intention. We design for Somali brides because we understand the significance of the moment.
A wedding is not simply a ceremony; it is the joining of families, generations, and traditions.
Every detail deserves to honour that importance.
We chose pure silk because luxury begins with authenticity. Historically, Somalia’s position along ancient trade routes connected its coastal cities to merchants from Arabia, India, Persia, and beyond.
Fine fabrics, including silk, were highly prized and traded through Somali ports for centuries.
Silk therefore carries a historical connection to Somalia’s rich trading heritage and long-standing appreciation for exceptional textiles.
Each Dirac begins with months of design development, fabric sourcing, and artisan craftsmanship.
The embroidery is completed by hand, stitch by stitch, requiring patience, precision, and skill that cannot be replicated by machines. Every embellishment is carefully placed to create harmony across the garment, ensuring that each piece feels as beautiful up close as it does from across the room.
From the first sketch to the final fitting, countless hours are devoted to every Dirac.
It is a process guided not by speed, but by excellence. We believe true luxury lies in the details that take time.
The hand finished embroidery, the drape of pure silk, the precision of every seam, and the care invested in every stage of creation.
Our Diracs are made to be treasured long after the wedding day has passed. They are created not only for a bride’s entrance, but for the memories that follow the photographs passed through generations, the stories shared with daughters and granddaughters, and the
enduring pride of wearing something that honours where we come from while celebrating where we are going.
This is our tribute to Somali heritage, reimagined through craftsmanship, artistry, and timeless luxury.

Modern Craftsmanship
Our pieces are brought to life through detailed embroidery and hand finished embellishments. While our designs are contemporary, the process remains rooted in skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail. Every stitch is carefully placed, creating garments that feel special, timeless, and made to be treasured.
Sadaqah in Every Stitch
Giving back has always been an important part of who we are. We believe in making sadaqah on behalf of ourselves and our customers, which is why a portion of every purchase goes towards supporting communities back home.
As we grow, our aim is to expand this work across Somalia, Somaliland, and Djibouti through projects that create lasting impact. Every piece purchased becomes part of something bigger than fashion.
Uniquely Yours
Every Dirac starts as organic raw silk in its natural white form. Each fabric is then individually dyed to achieve its final colour, giving every piece its own character.
Because of this process, no two Diracs will ever be exactly the same. Slight variations in colour and finish are what make each garment unique. It’s a reminder that your piece has been created especially for you.
Made with Integrity
We believe that beautiful clothing should be made the right way.
That’s why we work with manufacturers who share our values and provide fair wages, safe working conditions, and respectful treatment for their workers. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards child labour, exploitation, and unsafe working practices.
For us, luxury is about more than the finished garment. It’s about knowing that every person involved in creating it has been treated with dignity, fairness, and respect.
